Senior WATER RIGHTS/ WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER (5 - 12 Years)

Summit is seeking a full-time Senior Water Rights/ Water Resources Engineer to support our growing water resources business in Longmont, CO. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a passion for water resources, a desire to develop as a professional, and the following skills and qualifications:

BS or MS in civil or agricultural engineering, hydrology, hydrogeology, water resources, or related field.
5 to 12 years of experience with water resources, water rights, hydrology and/or hydraulics.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time management skills.
Strong MS Office skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with ArcGIS, MODFLOW, AutoCAD, and/or database software a plus
Registration as a PE, or ability to obtain licensure within 12 months of hire.

Job Responsibilities

Lead engineering analysis and prepare deliverables for water resources and water rights engineering projects
Direct field investigations and data collection
Conduct Historical Consumptive Use analyses
Draft technical reports
Manage projects and client interactions
Lead and mentor junior staff
Research water rights
Conduct GIS analyses
Develop water accounting spreadsheets and procedures

Compensation

Annual salary commensurate with experience: $80,000 - $125,000
Annual performance bonus in addition to salary
