WATER RIGHTS/ WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER (0 - 4 Years)

Summit is seeking a full-time Water Rights/ Water Resources Engineer to support our growing water resources business in Longmont, CO. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a passion for water resources, a desire to develop as a professional, and the following skills and qualifications:

BS or MS in civil or agricultural engineering, hydrology, hydrogeology, water resources, or related field.
0 to 4 years of experience with water resources, water rights, hydrology and/or hydraulics.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong time management skills.
Strong MS Office skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with ArcGIS, MODFLOW, AutoCAD, and/or database software a plus
Registration as a PE or EI, or plans to pursue licensure as an engineer.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct engineering analysis and technical support for water resources and water rights engineering projects
Conduct field investigations and data collection
Research water rights
Conduct GIS analyses
Develop water accounting spreadsheets and procedures
Assist in the preparation of Historical Consumptive Use analyses with input and guidance from senior engineers
Draft technical reports
Prepare data-driven graphics for engineering reports, professional papers and presentations

Compensation

Annual salary commensurate with experience: $65,000 - $100,000
Annual performance bonus in addition to salary
