We are seeking a full-time Staff/ Senior Civil Design Engineer to support our growing water resources business in Longmont, CO. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a passion for water resources, a desire to develop as a professional, and the following skills and qualifications.
- BS or MS in civil or structural engineering or related field
- 4 to 8 years of experience with civil design
- Desire to manage and lead water resource engineering design projects
- Understanding of basic reinforced concrete design principles Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or other computer aided design program
- Experience with hydraulic analysis software desired but not required (e.g., HEC-RAS, FlowMaster, CulvertMaster, etc.)
- Must be a Colorado-licensed professional engineer (or can obtain a license within 6 months)
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive designs for water conveyance and measurement infrastructure including, but not limited to, diversion structures, flumes, headgates, check structures, and pipelines.
- Prepare construction documents, technical specifications, quantities, engineer’s cost estimates, and bid documents for projects
- Construction management responsibilities including bidding and contract administration, field inspections and observation, pay application review, review and address change orders and requests for information, prepare meeting minutes, daily job reports, and “As-Constructed” plans
- Direct staff including junior engineers and CAD drafters
- Prepare supporting technical reports
- Conduct periodic field work, investigations, and construction inspection
- Assist with company marketing activities including responding to requests for proposals

Compensation:
- Salary commensurate with experience
- Total Compensation Range (Salary plus bonus): $80,000 - $110,000 Yr
